Description
Varenyky is a Ukrainian dish that ranks second in popularity (because the borscht takes first one 🙂 ). On the evening before Christmas, which is called Christmas Eve, Ukrainian families prepare 12 fasting dishes, including varenyky with potatoes.
Each region of Ukraine has its own traditions and cooking methods. As a rule, Ukrainians cook these dumplings or steam them. Varenyky can have a variety of salty or sweet fillings: potatoes, cabbage, meat, cheese, berries, poppy seeds and many others.
We make our own varenyky on the basis of unleavened dough. One portion contains 12 varenyky.
Also, you can try varenyky with chicken or with pork and beef. They go well with country potatoes.
We deliver varenyky in frozen form, so after receiving them, they have to be boiled before serving.
